Travel Tips

1) Don't put all your eggs in one basket

The advice my Dad always tells me is to never put all my money in one place. Although it is more convenient to have all your money in one place when traveling, for example, a wallet, it certainly isn't the best option. Have some "backup money" in your pocket in case your wallet gets stolen or lost.

2) Use the safe

Most hotels when you travel provide a safe to store important valuables. Always use this safe as the name suggests it is a safe place to store your passport, extra money, and other valuables when you are not using them.

3) Pack lightly

This tip is a given, pack lightly. Pack what you know you'll need. This not only gives you the option of having room in your luggage for new clothes and/or souvenirs you may buy on your travels.

4) Treat yourself

The point of traveling is to enjoy yourself. My advice is to spend your money on experiences and local delicacies as these are the things you can't find anywhere else.

5) Immerse in culture

Talk to the locals, eat the local cuisine, go on guided tours and take in the atmosphere. The locals always provide their views on where to go and what to do. They are the experts of the city, and their stories are the pinnacle of your travels.

6) Pub Crawls

Not all cities have organized pub crawls, but most major cities in Europe especially have these pub crawl events nightly. This is a great way to meet new people and possibly make lifelong friends.

7) Document Travels

Write it down, take pictures and video yourself. When looking back at your time abroad, it's nice to have your travels documented to see reminisce about the good old days.
